Finding Your Myth

with Jungian Analysts Lisa Marchiano and Deborah Stewart

January 28-February 1, 2027 | Utuado, Puerto Rico

Join Us In Retreat

In the lush, tropical mountains of Puerto Rico we will come together over five days to explore the idea of finding your personal myth from a Jungian perspective through story, art, movement, and dream work. Restorative yoga, sound healing, ancestral flower remedies, and gourmet dining sourced from local ingredients will nourish and support our bodies while we engage in this deep, soulful work.

Nestled in the heart of the Cordillera Central, an area rich in Taino history, Casa Grande Mountain Retreat will serve as our sanctuary as we sit with Carl Jung’s question: What is the myth you are living?

I was driven to ask myself in all seriousness: “What is the myth you are living?” ...I did not know that I was living a myth, and even if I had known it, I would not have known what sort of myth was ordering my life without my knowledge.

c. G. jung / Collected works, V5

Why Myth?

Without an understanding of myth, without an understanding of the relationship between destruction and creation, death and rebirth, the individual suffers the mysteries of life as meaningless mayhem alone.

marion woodman

Even if we are unaware of it, each of us lives our life according to a personal myth that infuses our life with coherence and purpose. Our myth illuminates our values and helps us answer the ultimate questions – to what am I in service? What is my relationship with the infinite? Where can I find meaning? What is my place in the cosmos?

Knowing the myth we are living connects us with our agency and allows us to face uncertain or difficult times with courage and resiliance. It helps us become the author of our own story. Join Jungian analysts Lisa Marchiano and Deborah Stewart for a soulful, renewing adventure where you will be guided in the quest to discover your wholly personal myth.

Hear What Previous Participants Have to Say

“...A truly transformative experience. To get together in nature with such a special, smart, generous and kind group of women of all ages is something so rare and such a gift. The outdoor yoga was magical and the meals were nourishing. Lisa’s sessions were engaging and thought-provoking, as was the discussion with the whole group. I found Lisa and Jodi to be very generous with their time and energy for the group. I left feeling inspired with my cup filled and joints loose (from the yoga!). I will be returning!”

“The group Lisa and Jodi brought together was remarkable. Their experiences are not my experiences, yet there is a common thread binding them all together: one guided by a genuine curiosity about themselves and the world around them. So refreshing in a world filled with so much binary thinking. These women have stirred in me something deep that is just beginning to grow and rise to the surface. They challenged me, impressed me, informed me, surprised me, and shared a sacred space with me.”

“The Wellspring Women’s Retreat was the best women’s retreat I have attended. Lisa Marchiano masterfully set the tone and led the work of the group, creating a loving container for self-exploration. Lisa’s gentle and supportive style immediately opened the space for me to relax and encounter my thoughts and feelings without judgment. The Fairy Tales and reactions to them inspired new and important insights...I am grateful to Lisa for providing this soulful space, and look forward to the next one!”
